Tour stop #2 will be on October 25, 2025 in Midlothian, VA at Bowl America Southwest.

Please arrive to check in at 12:00 pm.
Bowling will start promptly at 1:00 pm
Entry fee is $60 per person.
Players will bowl 5 games of qualifying, dropping the lowest 1 game score.
Finals will be a stepladder format.
Those who make the cut are guaranteed their entry fee back.

Rules and Event Format

Entries

Open to all USBC sanctioned youth bowlers
Maximum of 160 bowlers
No walk-ins

Average

Highest 2023-24 Winter league book average from Bowl.com for 21 games or more (No Summer leagues or Composite averages)
Bowlers only having a Sport or Challenge average will be converted using USBC conversion tables
Bowlers with no 2023-24 Winter League book average can use their current average for 21 games or more (verification must be brought to tournament), otherwise 210 will be used

Handicap

Based on 90% of 210 for the qualifying round

Qualifying Round

All bowl 5 games
Skip 2 pairs after each game
Total pins for the 5 games minus the lowest 1 game score determines the standings for the finals cut
The finals will be a stepladder, the number to be determined by the entries in each division
The minimum finalists will be 3 and the maximum will be 5 for the stepladder
Ties for the finals positioning broken by the high game during qualifying getting the higher seed for scratch division; high game plus one game handicap for handicap division

Divisions

Handicap division with male and female bowlers competing together
Scratch division: Female and male bowlers are separate
Bowlers declare their division preference at registration
Prizes awarded on a 1:4 ratio
All bowlers making the qualifying cut are guaranteed to get their entry fee back

Sport Shot Pattern
Tournament operated under USBC rules
Junior Gold dress code enforced

About the Tour

The Old Dominion Youth Bowlers Tour has been a long-term vision of Bowl America Southwest manager and youth director, James Washington, Jr. For the 2025-26 season, there will be eight tour stops throughout Virginia, culminating in a weekend-long bowling event.

The Tour provides youth bowlers with the opportunity to participate in local tournaments throughout Virginia. Competitors will face challenging oil patterns in various tournament formats while earning scholarships for post-secondary education. Scholarships are awarded through the USBC-administered SMART program.
